Wow

Wow, I just noticed that it's been almost a year since I've signed up with Xanga, and I haven't posted anything yet this year... I think I'm gonna need to do some of that soon, I've also got a Blogger account that I'm going to try to keep updated too, I'll be doing that soon, I'll be trying to post political stuff mostly, with some Catholicism in there too.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I came across some very well done Thanksiving posts over the last day (on milblogs), so I'm gonna point everyone to OpFor where Richard S. Lowry, the author of Marines in the Garden of Eden and The Gulf War Chronicles has written an excellent piece about Thanksgiving.

Today, Americans enjoy a freedom unequaled in the history of civilization. Our good fortune goes unnoticed by most everyone in their day-to-day lives. We are free to express ourselves. We are free of oppression. We are free of fear.
